When you arrive in our Southampton main office, you will know you’ve reached Ordnance Survey headquarters. Our purpose is to help others ‘See a Better Place’ and we stick to that mentality; including the workspace we’ve created for our colleagues, partners, and visitors.

Hire a meeting room and inspire your clients or in-house teams with a change of scenery and an inspiring workplace. We have a range of rooms available depending on your requirements; including ideal spaces for conference room hire, team meetings, seminars or exhibitions. Spread over two floors, and with eleven different rooms to choose from, we can accommodate small meetings of eight right through to large event space for up to 150 people.

A sustainable office
Explorer House was designed and built to BREEAM Excellent standard with a host of sustainable solutions. This includes an impressive 75m deep ground source heat pump system and an 80,000 litre rainwater harvester. Recent improvements have seen the addition of on-site solar PV panels and smart LED lighting throughout the building.
EV charging
Charging points for electric vehicles are available in our car park.
Transport connections
Explorer House can be reached by Southampton’s public transport from various locations across the city. The Bluestar bus service can be taken directly from Southampton Central train station.
Building access
Access to Explorer House
Our Southampton head office building is accessible to all of our visitors. All pathways within the grounds and leading to the main entrance are on one level. There is also lift access to every floor. There are designated car parking spaces for disabled drivers or passengers which are available close to the main entrance. Induction loops are available at reception and in meeting rooms, and guide dogs are welcome.
Facilities and services
On-site meeting rooms, break out areas, print room facilities and post room services are all located within the centre. The professional centre management team are always on hand to offer business support. Expert help and advice, including full technical back up, is available every step of the way. From your initial enquiry, right through to support on the day.
